A British sitcom called Coupling did a show with exactly that in it, the laugh cascade or something.
Might have to do with situational tension or something reasonably "normal" that might get a lil over done with you or other aspies.

Personally I'm about the opposite, I don't laugh out loud much at all. Or apparently even react visibly at all.
I find lots of things funny/'laughable' and I enjoy comedians and most sitcoms.
But they seem to all tell/develop the jokes way too slow or something and I get the punch before my laugh gland can get laugh juice going.
Sometimes it works and a laugh will come out as suddenly as a bark.

I'm laughing on the inside...

I don't know if it's an Aspie thing. I have a continual stream of thoughts and dialogues going through my head on a daily basis and occasionally it'll be something humorous and I'll uncontrollably giggle a little bit. It usually happens once or twice a day, but I do my best to keep people from noticing.

I do that a lot too.

I will sometimes think of random things that happened in the past and start laughing out of context. Kinda annoying, especially because I don't really want to take the trouble to explain what I'm laughing about.

Yeah, that's what I do. The thinking about stuff from the past or funny jokes in my head. And being in a bad situation makes me more likely to.
