Oh Sweetie....sorry you're in this situation.

At least you're paying off the debt. That's adult of you. If I were your parent, I'd respect you for that.

Please....I wish you could just "get it over with." And do "maintenance" at least once a week. You're an adult human being--you're not Cinderella. One must be treated with a least a little dignity. I hope your parents are doing that.

If you don't mind me asking---what do you do? Nothing is shameful. A job is a job. Working at McDonald's is better than having no job at all.

You must love animals, then.

Ever thought about being a veterinarian or veterinarian assistant?

It seems as if you've had some college--or perhaps even graduated.

What was your major?

Well, your "too busy" is causing your "too tired" and when you're tired, you'll get distracted easier than you would if you were well rested. Get some rest! Learn meditation. Practice mindfulness.

Clean what? The house or yourself?

I asked a question. I didn't get an answer. I Want one!

Why are you being so demanding? Why does it matter so much to you?

I Don't know? Why are you asking me? 8O

It's got something to do with not liking to be ignored!

LOL...I just put up a poll--about an hour ago. NOBODY has responded.

I don't care if I'm ignored. That's life. YOU know you shouldn't be ignored. You're a bright guy. I would just go with that. And enjoy something which can't ignore you: the forests, the trees, the sun, etc.

Hi Mel:

You're not in a hopeless situation. It seems like it's hard now. But this is a time to think about the future, so things wouldn't be so hard.

If you don't stop using caps and being rude I will ignore you. But at this point I am not ignoring you. Calm down.

I was thinking of veterinary receptionist, but I'm a history major so I won't be taking veterinary classes.

Why not go for veterinary receptionist, then? If you get in good with a veterinarian, you'll have an instant reference, in case you want to go on to some kind of veterinary situation.

I'm kind of a history buff myself!

You're entirely wrong. I never used caps - it was just bold
and secondly, there was nothing rude about what I said. I simply wanted an answer!

But yes, it was a little bit over the top. Sorry, I get a bit carried away at times

I can't seem to help it. I think I get it from my Grandfather, the bastard!

So does anyone have a way to convince themselves to do more house work?

I think it has to do with AS brains being very focused on what they are interested in, and disregarding other things. You probably have no interest in doing house work, so it doesn't get done. So maybe train your brain to making having things clean as one of your interests. Doing it may not be interesting, but the results are something you can become interested in. My occupational therapy has a lot to do with getting satisfaction from results.

The other day, I had some work I had to do in the backyard and I just really didn't want to do it. So I started doing a half arsed job but then, the perfectionist in me took off and I went berserk and did a far better job than even I expected (and it was hard work)

The more you leave the housework....the worse it will get.

How about going for a Veterinary Assistant job?
