Okay, so, you got to the top of the list by claiming to be homeless. I would imagine that by turning down a flat under those circumstances, that would either put you in category d or cause action to take you off the list entirely. There are always negatives, everywhere. I would put on my headphones and make that flat into something special. Others have posted some great ideas in decorating on the cheap. You are being blessed with this opportunity. Please be a little more grateful.
So you don't mind having to wear headphones 100% of the time? I don't mind wearing them some of the time, but f*** wearing them day in, day out, all the time.
I didn't claim to be homeless. My housing officer advised my mum to send a letter to the council with a date of eviction, which she did. After that I would technically be 'homeless' and the council would be put under pressure to rehouse me in temporary accommodation for homeless people.
I like natural daylight and don't want to block off the windows. Besides which, unless you spend thousands of pounds, soundproofing on the cheap doesn't work. I've read a bit about it.
I guess I've completely and utterly failed at being grateful.
F***ing fed up with life, tbh. It's full of rubbish compromises, which nobody wants to admit that are rubbish because they've been brainwashed into thinking "positive". Being "negative" is like a sin in the present culture.
