No. I have seen irrational aspies and not all of them are kind either. I wasn't kind as a child.

I'm logical. Except when I'm drunk or sedated, then I'm stupidly emotional (mainly because I'm emotionally ret*d to begin with).

Don't know about that other one. :P

I really had to think about this. First, I looked up the definition of "kind"...

having a friendly or generous nature or attitude
helpful to others or to another ⇒ a kind deed
considerate or humane
cordial; courteous (esp in the phrase kind regards)
pleasant; agreeable; mild ⇒ a kind climate
(informal) beneficial or not harmful ⇒ a detergent that is kind to the hands
(archaic) loving

Next, I looked up a bunch of synonyms. Most of which did not match my character/behavior. So, I would say not very.

Kind?

Let's see. The antonym of kind is mean. Mean means average. Thus, kind means not average.

Assuming that autism is not average, then everyone on the spectrum must be kind.

I'm more kind than I am logical. Just because I'm not logical doesn't mean that I'm irrational, either.

I think people on the Autism Spectrum are more often logical and kind, but not everyone always is and not everyone is per se logical and kind. But more often...

If you're a nice and reasonable person, you're a nice and reasonable person. Give yourself some credit for the good things you do.

You can be logical and kind at the same time, this proves that you are not logical. :)

This is a post from someone who is brutally honest ;).

Being kind shouldn't get in the way of being kind like you typed. That proves to me, that you didn't think about what you were typing, I'm sorry, I can't take you seriously.

I appreciate logic, and sometimes get upset with others for not using it. But I am also very emotional, and I know I sometimes let my emotions get away with me and say things that are illogical. I think many Aspies think logically, but not all.

As for being kind, I know many people with autism who are kind. These people tend to not judge others and see everyone as equal, and they sincerely apologize when they've done something wrong. But I've also known autistic people who could be described as mean and arrogant.

I think most people with autism genuinely don't want to hurt others. Like everyone, they may sometimes say things that come across as mean. But they just need to be taught to consider other people's feelings and not to judge others.

I think it's totally possible to be progressive, inclusive and affable while simeltaneously being dark, weird and misanthropic. Demeanor is something we project in countless ways. The aspies I relate to the most are "warm & scratchy" types like myself.
