I have absolutely no problem with my Aspergia. If there's something about it i really don't like, i can somehow ``switch it off'' and ``switch it on'' again when i need it... Altough i don't use this ability much. Don't ask me how... :?

My fine motor skills are fairly good. But it's my gross motor functions which are completely lacking.

What I like:
Being odd
My visualization skills
My creativity/inventiveness
My skill with words
My ability to write well
My analytical skills
My ear for dialogue
Being on good terms with all of my teachers
Being able to get good grades in most of my classes

What I don't like:
Being considered by the law and by school staff to be a 'special-needs' person (One school psychologist asked me to 'tell him about my disease'... fortunately, I don't go to that school anymore)
Having no friends in real life whatsoever (although I do recognize a lot of people easily)
Coming across as obnoxious
Being bullied by others

I like many things about AS, but mainly the fact that it makes me focussed on subjects I enjoy and a mathematical prodigy (come one, how many NTs are there that can work out 4096 cubed in their head and remember it for years afterwards).

An additional 'like':

-Being able to instantly recognize things like the image in Berta's avatar as being Lake Shore Drive (US 41) at Pershing Rd in Chicago.

I am starting to intensely dislike other people's reactions to the discrepancies between my abilities and my difficulties. I don't dislike the discrepancies (those are pretty much value-neutral), but I dislike people's reactions to them.

I like certain aspects of the way I perceive the world, I dislike others, others I am neutral to. This is very vague but I am not always good at open-ended questions.

Thing i like,
The exceptional memory skills that i and others like me seem to have,
I like my latest subject, and i want to know every detail it brings with it.
The drive i seem to have for my computer and it's related interests, and the need to acquire more knowledge, this keeps me going.
My logical way of working things out. And the thought that i have the edge over most of the Nuro-typicals of this planet.
Last but not least, the members of this website-WP, and the fact that i have similar traits to most members and the knowledge that all of us are just a forum away from each other.

Things i dont like,
Sometimes just the trouble of being me and all upset and depression it brings with it by just being me, this i really dont like at all.
And this one i really struggle with and find myself so confused is somebody saying or implying, but not saying directly -why can they not be like me and tell it as it is, because with me what you see is what you get.
Eye contact not too much , preferably none at all.
Sensory overload - this i really dont like

What I like about it: I'm a good artist because of it, I like my sense of humor, and I've met a lot of people who have the same obsession as me.

What I dislike: Sometimes people say that I'm weird, and they sometimes think that I'm being disrespectful and making fun of people who have TB. I'm not making fun. I'm just very obsessed with TB and I talk about it a lot. I also can't tie my shoes.

I have grown immune to people calling me a freak. I enjoy the aspect of having such a wild imagination, as it causes me to laugh enough to out live everyone else in my year.
