No wonder you were acting like an idiot. I thought you actually had that bad of theory of mind and were that low functioning.

From the "Similar Topics" at the bottom of this thread, you can see that there actually are adults on the spectrum who get the wrong answer to the Sally-Anne test. No reason to think the OP was trolling particularly, other than the fact that he's been doing it in other threads and seems kinda "low functioning".

I can't remember if I was ever given the Sally-Ann test. I worry that I was given it, but I "failed" on purpose--because that was something I often did when I was little--pretend to not know answers so as not to attract too much attention to myself.

Anyone 13 and older should be able to pass the sally-anne test. Yes even if you're autistic. It may take those with high-functioning autism longer than normal to develop a theory of mind but you should at least develop it by the time you're in your early to mid teens. Of course our theory of mind will never be as good compared to a neurotypicals. Which is part of the reason we're socially impaired.

I had a habit of doing that too, but the other way around. I wanted attention, so I used to drop stuff on purpose or trip up on purpose to get people to go ''oops'' or something.

I failed as an adult when I took this test a couple of years ago.
Ooops, I answered immediately where the marble was.

You mean someone believes someone is stupid when in reality they are just messing with everyone on the forum?

But I see dumb people get accused of trolling because people don't think anyone can be that obtuse or dense or naive or really that oblivious.

I had never heard of this test until I was 14, and when I first tried it I immediately said the correct answer as if I was answering a sum as easy as 1+1=2. In fact it was so automatic to say the correct answer, that I began wondering if it was meant to be one of those tricks, until I saw that I had answered it right.

I first saw this test when I was 15 when I was reading a newsweek article about autism. It took me a few seconds to get the answer right because I had to think and I got it right.

I think I saw this test in a textbook when I was going to college.
