That's f*****g horrible. Why would ANYONE do this to their kids? Don't they know that drinking bleach, let alone administering it as an enema, can KILL you? Mein gott, the parents who are doing this should be locked up, and the justice system shouldn't go easy on them either. This is outright child abuse, and I'd say it's even worse than parents who beat their kids. At least bruises and broken bones can heal, you can't say the same about internal organ damage.
Even if this news was a hoax or not, I still find this to be severely serious. Seriously, I can't believe those scumbags would actually do such a thing to those innocent children! I mean, really, what wrongs did they actually do to deserve this?! I swear, those anti-autistic people are a bunch of morons!
Yet these fanatical curebie nutcases DO do it to innocent children. There are protest/petition pages against it on Facebook, sorry but I have misplaced the links to it. Should be easy to find. There is also a letter writing protest going on.
Thank goodness people are protesting, this just sickens me. I feel a bit powerless down here, your politicians in the US are not going to give a damn about what a kiwi thinks, I won't be voting for them.
This must be stopped. I hope it is a focus of intensive protest April 2nd. If there are websites advocating it I hope they mysteriously crash and malfunction ever after.
Sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) is usually the chemical referred to as "bleach" by most people because it is a strong oxidizer of other materials. It is the major component of most bleaching solutions used for laundry applications. That being said, it can cause tissue damage by contact reaction alone if in a concentrated form. There is a reason why a bottle of bleach has such a long warning label on the container. Very few people read those warnings when they really should. The key to how much damage it can potentially cause is in the concentration of the solution (to whether or not it is a poison within the body). Very diluted solutions being consumed by humans may or may not greatly affect the body depending upon the specific biological factors involved in the process. Same thing can be said if it goes into another body opening. Needless to say, it is very ignorant to be treat others with bleach this way.
When I lived in Idaho. We where on a community water system and we would inject laundry bleach into the system using an injection pump that was located at the main well. The system would put 1 part bleach per 10,000 parts water. This was done to sterilized the water and prevent algae from growing in the pipes. So drinking highly diluted bleach is not harmful to do.

The part about intestinal cleansing treating ASD symptoms I can roll with.. but using bleach? That's got the potential to do a lot of tissue damage to human cells. It MIGHT be possible to kill bad bacteria/parasites safely with a weak concentration.. maybe - but I doubt it since tap water with chlorine isn't recommended for use in enemas due to the chlorine killing good bacteria and possibly doing other damage.
I use organic apple cider vinegar, filtered water, boiled water, natural salts.. or garlic infused filtered water & salts.. or ultra light roasted organic coffee w/ high palmitic acid content, acv, & salts.. or a mixture of several antifungal herbal teas - all diluted to safe levels. But bleach? No thanks.

They have been persuaded by the marketing material of a con artist named Kerri Rivera. Rivera's scam (MMS or Miracle Mineral Solution) has been the subject of an FDA warning since 2014:
http://www.webmd.com/brain/autism/news/ ... treatments
The problem is that these parents are not scientifically or medically literate and are likely not skilled critical thinkers and they are really want it to be true that they can buy a "miracle" that will transform their children into neurotypicals.
When a person such as Rivera presents herself as an authority and puts up a lot of marketing material with plausible sounding descriptions of how her product will give them what they want, they "want to believe."
It's easy to find the MMS website, if you want to see Rivera's campaign of deception for yourself, but the lies are available elsewhere, too:

Another example of the delusional thinking that helps drive some parents to abuse their children in this horrific way can be found on this pro-"supplements" site that is outraged that the FDA would bring charges against someone for pushing this toxic filth as a cure.

When I read such material, I am always left wondering how much of it is self-deception by true believers and how much the calculated lies of people in on the con?
Finally, for those who keep "wanting to believe" that this whole story might be a hoax, here is the FDA statement on MMS:
http://www.fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/Safe ... 220756.htm
[Posted 07/30/2010]
AUDIENCE: Consumers, Emergency Medicine
ISSUE: FDA warned consumers not to consume or use Miracle Mineral Solution, an oral liquid solution also known as "Miracle Mineral Supplement" or "MMS." The product, when used as directed, produces an industrial bleach that can cause serious harm to health. The product instructs consumers to mix the 28 percent sodium chlorite solution with an acid such as citrus juice. This mixture produces chlorine dioxide, a potent bleach used for stripping textiles and industrial water treatment. High oral doses of this bleach, such as those recommended in the labeling, can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and symptoms of severe dehydration.
BACKGROUND: MMS is distributed on Internet sites and online auctions by multiple independent distributors. MMS claims to treat multiple unrelated diseases, including HIV, hepatitis, the H1N1 flu virus, common colds, acne, cancer, and other conditions. The FDA is not aware of any research that MMS is effective in treating any of these conditions. MMS also poses a significant health risk to consumers who may choose to use this product for self-treatment instead of seeking FDA-approved treatments for these conditions.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Consumers who have MMS should stop using it immediately and throw it away. The FDA advises consumers who have experienced any negative side effects from MMS to consult a health care professional as soon as possible.
Healthcare professionals and patients are encouraged to report adverse events or side effects related to the use of this product to the FDA's MedWatch Safety Information and Adverse Event Reporting Program:

One really great review from the Amazon review of Kerri's book:
Feeding my child toxic industrial bleach totally works!
ByHendrik Reeveson January 23, 2015
Format: Paperback
I have a child who was diagnosed with autism, and I was left scratching my head, wondering what could have caused this. I also immediately wondered if it was possible at all to cure this. Over the next couple years, I tried everything, including dietary treatments and therapy. Then I discovered this book by chance. I was skeptical, but I noticed there were positive reviews, and I disregarded the FDA warnings because, obviously, random commenters I don't know on Amazon are much, much, more trustworthy then the FDA. So a few months ago, I decided to go ahead and start feeding my child a solution containing industrial bleach that is 10 times as toxic as carbon monoxide at many times the DOL's maximum legal exposure level. After all, this even just sounds like a healthy mixture, right? Fast forward a few months, and here we are. My son is vomiting blood and having diarrhoea, but that just means his autism is being cured, right? Shame on society for believing the illuminati's lies spread by chemtrails by the U.S. government. Autism can be cured with this simple solution of toxic, reactive, industrial bleach that has been banned in Canada after deaths caused by it.

Thank you for posting this and the links. It's dismaying to me that this form of severe child abuse is not taken seriously by some here (but not many) and the links are very useful in (hopefully) helping them too see that this is no joking matter. These children are abused, powerless and in danger, not just from this dreadful treatment, but from growing up with parents who have this mindset period, you can only imagine what that must be like and how damaging it no doubt is.

It doesn't surprise me anymore that there are books out there that tell parents to abuse their child, normal or not. Sadly there are people who will fall for it because they don't have common sense or logic or any good judgment and these are parents who probably love their kids and want what's best for them but don't know what they are doing. I do think people are really that stupid.
