Torture and punishment pricks up my ears every time. I like reading Martyrs Mirror - the huge historical account of the various atrocities committed on Christians. I like reading about torture devices used through the years. I like reading about people who were hanged, drawn and quartered because it shows the depths of man's depravity to man. I like reading about executions, from Muslims which simply decapitated people to the Chines who actually have a mobile execution truck. I am appalled, but still read about, the various atrocities committed by the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. It really does stun me that, in an interview with an executioner, you see how casually he talks about slitting throats, like he was turning the page of a newspaper. I've also seen several beheadings on the internet but I don't recommend those because they're gory.

Thank god im not the only one. The bronze bull is one of my personal fav torture devices. I could sit for hours learning about torture, esp the medieval kind. Vlad Tepes in particular interests me.
