My ex/best friend is very messy. Cluttery, is probably a better word. I am the opposite. I sometimes have a noticeable amount of stuff out but it is all arranged and contained. I am actually very organized. I make lists for fun and like to classify certain things into groups, alphabetize, etc... Clutter and mess make me anxious.
I love my own clutter, I've deluded myself into thinking it helps my creative process (not that I create anything, mind you ). I'm not obssessed with keeping things in order, but when I do establish one it upsets me to see it disrupted.

I definitely have similar characteristics to the last two posts. I dread when it is announced a cleaning binge is going to commence because I just know there will be things I will never see again or find after replacing them.

I have this big ball of cables, see. It's about 2 feet in diameter. There's an entire keyboard stuck in it, among some other random things.
Think of just how many cables and things must be in there for it to be that size.... and then consider that it's not the only thing like that that I have.
I have lots of things, because I make things, and in order to make things, you need more things! I plunge into a cleaning binge now and then, when I´m about to go crazy because of my mess. Between binges, I tend to let things grow.....well, after I have started to let people indoors, I´ve actually become a little bit better at keeping it down.

Yes! Drives my wife nuts since she is super neat. My work desk is a mess. My side of the bedroom a mess. My area of the counter top - Mess!
But, every once in a while I get a bug in me to clean up. It feels really awesome to organize everything and make things clean and neat. It only lasts a day or so and then it is back to the messy norm and I am happy with it.

I'm very disorganized.
Sometimes I seem to lose my ability to see the mess. I will be very absorbed in whatever is on my mind then suddenly something will draw attention to it and I suddenly become aware of it all. Then I tend to do a major cleanup. Things never tend to stay organized for long though because I want things to be nearby and usable and I cant quite figure out a way plan my space I guess.
I am pretty good though at locating things within the clutter I think. My teachers described my desk area and binders as organized chaos.
