@ElizabethDwyer as you describe this guy as your "crush" then I think you should make your feelings known to him. Rather than simply announce your feelings verbally, I suggest luring him into an empty room at the library then give him a seriously passionate kiss when you are certain no one is looking. If he is willing to hug you and kiss you at the bus stop, then he shouldn't react badly to such a move, unless he is overly startled which you ought to be able to avoid.

If he is on the spectrum (which you ought to know something about as your profile says you are diagnosed) then you should discuss the possibility with him should you enter into a relationship as doing so could help avoid problems that may develop otherwise. Of course I fully understand that such a relationship is not guaranteed to happen.
