If I did that I would end up spending the rest of my life in jail and rightfully so because the response would be way disproportionate to the offense. People opposed to me would be validated. Many many more people would the believe I was a sociopath who was faking it all the time.

I hope so, but not necessarily. If someone is literally going to put you on the street with nothing, and you think you don't have the street intelligence or whatever else to survive then it could be seen as them trying to kill you. Still, prison would probably be worse than the street. And, killing is kind of not-very-advisable for many reasons...

Nah, I would f' with their heads. Loads of fun. I ask them how many invisible people live in their neighborhood. Stuff like that. They never know if I am joking or serious.

This is rather seem snobbish, but I simply scoff them off as ignorant. I simply think they're just another lost cause.
Because they cannot determine between a wanna-be special attention seeker from an eccentric person. It's usually the former's fault why.
It's their choice whether stay that way or redeem themselves by being understanding or accepting.
