Kraftiekortie,

you forgot to mention the fact that many hospitals are run by egomaniacal staff and doctors.

working conditions are extremely stressful even for typical people.

yes, nursing is a no-brainer job. however, you have to jump through so many hoops to become a nurse that it's not even worth it. not to mention at the end of all this process, you will not even get hired. not just because you are artistic, but because there is so much competition.

If you have an RN and a Bachelor's, you will get hired, especially if you live in a large metropolitan area. Yes, sometimes hospitals are tense places to work. My wife is a nurse,so I know something about working conditions.

Uhm. Maybe not all. Maybe only few people are getting nursing as a course but eventually we'll need them. Still there are many taking it up, basically not just because of the salary. Many stereotype nurses as professional maids but actually they do have gone through enormous details of the disease processes and procedures. Nurses may be different in terms of practice and years of gaining erudition with physicians but they work in collaboration with each other, that nurses can do that physicians cannot and vice versa. It's only about many years ago that they deemed nurses as getting overpopulated, but as years go by they are getting hired and the course is getting popular again to most students.

It depends in different countries and hospital's preferences. Not to mention that there are top performing schools of nursing and most hospitals require higher Nursing licensure Exam results both your school's passing percentage and your score. It takes a lot of pressure indeed. But who says something worth it would be easy?

Oh well I just realized that. I took that as a motivation by the way. Thanks a lot.

Don't you see, Owl: I gave up!

I'm doing all right--but I could be doing much better.

I gave up being a teacher, too, because I have no ability to control a class (I also took Education as a minor, and I did well academically in that, too).

But...you have a chance. You're almost done. Just get through the Practicums. We are here to help you.

How do you relate to the Geriatric population?

Oh, sorry to know that Kraftiekortie. Uhm. But I do believe you are great in some areas.

Thanks a lot for your help. I'll do my best. I cannot disdain my university which holds a good title. Maybe I just need an affirmation of what is and what's wrong with me. My faith is faltering most of the time but there are also times that I am extremely motivated. Idk. I am completely the opposites of both sides.

I honestly don't believe, if you are decent to people, that there's something "wrong" with you if you are shy and have some social "deficits." There are times when all of this is within the realm of "normal human variation."

Low self-esteem usually comes from past experiences of failure, such as experiencing rejection or difficulty doing things neurotypicals find easy to follow. For example, someone who struggles with school and has trouble regulating self-control will not really have the drive to get the A+ on the exam or paper. Also, someone who has difficulty making friends because of awkwardness will probably avoid making other friends in fear of the same emotion. The problem with NT's and Aspergers is that people with Aspergers usually like to keep everything the same and often fear uncertainty. Low self-esteem is probably the most difficult thing to fix because of the "letting go" part and accepting reality, which is hard for everyone. Doing something you want to achieve and sticking to it will probably raise your self-esteem.
