I sometimes have a habit of faking Southern {because I have family living in the South} and British {because I watch a lot of British shows} accents as a way to get people to leave me and my family alone.

I have trouble listening to French for the same reason. The worst and third worst schools I was in were both French immersion schools. Even now, hearing my name pronounced with a French accent makes me tense up.

I wish I spoke French like you probably can.
