Do you think what this mother did was right?

Apart from filming it, I actually think this mom did okay. She remained calm and didn't get angry, and the pressure of her lying on him was probably what diffused the meltdown. I know when I have them that I often need that kind of pressure to calm down, but I have to provide it for myself with my weighted blanket because I'd never ask anyone to lie on top of me. I wouldn't appreciate anyone filming me like that without my permission though, but it can be hard to ascertain what a nonverbal autistic person is and isn't okay with when they can't tell you. Frankly I'd be more worried about the little sister; it's clear her brother's behaviour upsets her, and that her needs for safety and security don't appear to be being met, unless the parents dealt with it later and it just wasn't shown in the video.
