I have got more used to the idea, but generally I freeze like a rabbit in headlights if someone hugs me.

A friend gave me a big hug the other day, he is an Aspie so we had a talk about it and I said that I don't really want anyone to hug me unless I am really, really upset or something serious like that and then, it depends who hugs me. I like the idea of it, but the reality of it turns me into a statue. I don't fully get why though.

I adore hugs, cos it reassures me I'm doing things right or that people care.

But I don't like hugs from my outside friends (friends who I'm not so close to) or dad.

Or other family members outside the immediate family (I love my bf's hugs!)

I've always hated hugs... well, I liked to be held when I was a kid (it was enjoyable to have my feet off the ground) but I always feel scared when people try to hold me tight because they like to be affectionate... I just react to it by blocking them with my arms.

I really hate hugs... even more than kisses.

what is with random people hugging you? At campus, there is some guy giving out free hugs. I want to punch his damned lights out, just for the audacity.

Most people seem to realise I don't like hugs now so they don't do it

I love being hugged and cuddled, like a baby.

Whenever my mom hugs me I tense up. I can't stand being touched by anyone.

Depends on WHO hugs me.

I like being hugged a lot, and I like cuddling, but I could do without light touches.

I am reluctant to accept hugs. I don't know if someone has bad B.O. I tend to shrink away from people like that. I only like hugs from family members. I like to cuddle with my cats.

I love and even desire hugs from some people. But when someone I don't know too well gives me a friendly hug I react by wanting to step back. Not because of the hug itself, but because I'm doubting whether I really deserve. Yep, so much for my self-esteem.

I love Hugs and i love cuddles, i would do anything for a hug or a big cuddle.

I hate being hugged, cuddled and even touched for that matter.

I'm usually comfortable with hugging, be it friends, acquaintances, co-workers, and even strangers. Bonus points if a girl rubs her hair against me while she hugs me, as it once happened to me after a first date. Hugging family members, on the other hand, is where I'm not comfortable, although I can tolerate it fairly well.
