I did it too!

I had a game I played in the car too, started when I was 9 going to a school 45 minutes away. I had to raise my feet everytime we drove by a telephone poll! 8O

I only recently (like last month) discovered this comic and it's probably my #3 favorite already. It rocks my socks unfailingly.

That's a great comic. I totally do things like that. For instance, when I walk on any kind of floor that has regularly repeating markings I often look to see if there is any pattern in where my feet touch down in relation to the markings, and how many steps I have to walk before the pattern repeats itself.

I love weird patterns...that is also why i like quilts so much....unfortunately i lack the attention span to make really elaborate patterns....I only make bizarre absrtact crazy quilts....but i get mesmerised by staring at the complex patterned ones...

um....oh yeah..and I painted my kitchen ceiling tiles in this nutzo pattern...pink black yellow black blue black pink black yellow black blue black..

and whenever my notebooks were confiscated I would zone out on the ceiling tiles in class...

I always thought I was the only who "zoned out while 'grokking' tiles and bricks".

For me everyday is an adventure in those things but in also that ordinary things can seem so extraordinary when you see them in a different light. I don't know that everyone notices how beautiful brick walls are for instance. I've never seen an ode to one.

One thing that made me think I might be OCD.

But, does anyone else feel hypnotized by tile patterns on floors or walls?

Yes, I absolutely LOVE finding patterns in tiles!! Especially bathroom tiles! I've been doing this and walking in patterns as far as I can remember. I sometimes even manage to move in a patterned manner in unexpected places- when I'm walking in a soily environment, I try to put my legs on the stones that can be seen out of the soil sometimes. :D I'm a pro lol.
