Most folks under 18 consider being told that you look older than you are a compliment. Over 25 its an insult. In between its the gray zone, and can be taken either way depending upon the context.

I hate those pitches too. These days they force sales clerks at the register to hard sell you on that stuff when you just wanna buy something and go. Thats fairly recent.

"Rewards"?

Take Discover Card (for example). They give you a two percent rebate on purchases. But as soon as you carry a balance they charge you an annual percentage rate of interest of 20 percent. So while they hand you two dollars with one hand with the other hand they pick your pocket of 20 dollars. Some variation of that is how most "rewards" cards work.

I wish I looked like an adult. Not any older, just a 20-something woman. It's so degrading getting asked for ID every time I buy an 18-rated film or some form of alcohol. When I buy a 15-rated film I'm often scared I will get asked my ID, because if I did that would mean I must look UNDER 15! And when you're 25, you don't want to look like a 14-year-old child. I don't take it as a compliment. Maybe in 10 years time when I'm 35 and being told I look 25 may be a compliment, but not looking 15 when I'm 25.

But a lot of my NT peers get asked their ID too, even some that are older than me. So it's not just Aspies that look so young. My brother is nearly 30 and still gets asked his ID when buying cigarettes! I bet that pisses him off.

I don't think you just sign up for a credit card on a whim. That's just asking for bad credit and scams.

Actually I did in a Sears one time. I was checking out and it turned out that they had a credit drive and were offering to give certain discounts if you applied.

So, I applied, got the discounts and lo and behold, three weeks later, I had two credit cards with a lot of credit on them.

I wish it was the old days. I look my age now--but I looked quite young up until my 30s.

I couldn't really grow a beard until I was in my mid-20s.

When I was 12, I looked like Cousin Oliver on the Brady Bunch, who was about 7-8.
