Anyone else sleep with a LOT of layers on their bed?

I used to pile on the quilts, but I would kick them off at night. I love the weight, but I hate hot.

I discovered Army-surplus wool blankets. They're HEAVY, and warm without being too hot. I can't use them in summer, but in winter I put the sheets on the bed, then the wool blanket, then my regular quilt.

They are scratchy at first and I don't like that, but after three or four trips through the dryer they are nice and soft.

I do. My blood circulation is rather poor for most of the year, thus I need extra layers to combat the chills.

When it gets cold I find it helps it I wear lighter bottoms or heavier tops to even things out.
If its cold I can sleep comfortably with plenty of layers--not bothered by heat or weight. I can also sleep with my head covered.

Thermalised clothing can help, too.

My hands seem to be my biggest weak spot. When the temperature drops beneath 10 degrees - which is all too common where I reside - my hands turn a horrid purple colour. I did once suspect that I may have Reynold's disease but my doctor said I simply have circulatory problems, which is what causes the disconcerting skin discolouration.

I also have bad circulation, although my boyfriend lets me put my feet in between his thighs and hands by his chest for warmth 8O he's like a personal heat radiator.

I hate extra sheets on my bed, one is enough. top sheets always get messed up. I have four blankets including one down comforter around my bed, although this is mostly because I want to make sure I have backups in case said boyfriend is being a blanket hog. I can't sleep without the protection of a blanket, even if the weather is hot and humid

I prefer sleeping with only one light blanket, or even a sheet sometimes.

I don't like lots of layers; I feel constricted when there's lots of layers.

One sheet and a light comforter. And I often have to lower them to my waist, even though I sleep naked. My shoulders are always out, even with the covers pulled up. There's nothing worse than waking up on a sweat soaked top sheet.

I sleep with a quilt blanket, a thin blanket, and a heavy blanket.

I'm curious, is it for the heat or for the weight? Because I only sleep with one duvet, but it's a chain duvet that weighs 10 kg. It's snug without being restraining (like tucked in blankets). Perhaps something to consider?

It's partly for heat, cause I get really cold when I sleep, and partly for weight. In the summer I will still wear mulitple layers and turn on my bedroom AC, so my body is warm and my head is cool.

I get really hot when I sleep, so I sleep under a few layers that I can throw off easily. A lightweight bedspread with maybe a throw blanket over my feet. If it's cold I may put a comforter or quilt on top. I usually take a hot shower not long before going to bed, so I actually like for the sheets to feel cold when I get in the bed.

Last night I sat up for awhile before going to bed, and didn't notice how cold I was getting. I didn't really feel it until I got in the bed, and then I couldn't sleep because my feet were so cold. I had to put on extra clothes, socks, pants, and a sweater. Turned the heat up and pulled all the covers up. Finally went to sleep. Within an hour or so, woke up feeling like I was being roasted alive in my own bed and had to peel all the layers off again.

Yes, I sleep with five layers of blankets on my bed. It's one of the reasons I love winter: I can pile on blankets without getting too hot, and I have that wonderful feeling of weight on me. It's heavenly. I find it a lot harder to sleep during the summer when I only have a sheet and one or two blankets.

No but I cannot sleep without a blanket. When it's summertime I put the fan on so I can sleep under the blanket. I'm not sure why but I discovered a friend was like this too and she's apparently NT.

I need the weight of a high quality blanket or three to feel comfortable or safe or good or whatever one prefers to label it. And as one job assignment made VERY clear..........it MUST be my own or one I am VERY familiar with or I will NOT be comfortable. Nope!! Not one bit.

I once had to travel regionally 4-days a week. Needless to say, I did not last long for that one and eventually had to insist on a transfer to other duties. UGLY!! !!

Cheers,

d

I actually like to sleep with lots of them despite getting hot flashes and being hot natured; which means that I prefer less blankets but ones with lots of pressure. I cannot sleep without a blanket though.

I sleep in the same thing I wear all day. A hoodie jacket and sweat pants and I put one single comforter over me. If I'm cold enough to even need that.

I usually get really warm when I sleep so I tend to only sleep with one blanket. I usually will wrap myself up in it though.
