Goertzal is a Mathematician that has become a world leading AI researcher and he has worked with de Garis who was a Physicist and now an AI researcher.

I'm thinking of making a post with that (i.e. starting a thread) and if/when I do, I hope you'll respond with your list. I would love to see other people's thought influencers, especially here because there are so many smart, intellectually engaged people here.
