fake diagnosis?

I only got disability because of a stroke, a physical disability. Before the stroke I was denied for ASD because I made too much money during the 1980's. This "proved" I could get and hold a job. That requirements for employment these days require more social skills, nor age descrimination mattered. That I have been basically unemployed the previous 10 years did not matter. They say in this situation go to a lawyer. I went to three, they all said you were not worth our time, you are not eligible.
This is an all to common situation of few people hurting the majority, in this case the majority of autistics. It would not surprise me at all if a lot of people are not getting diagnosed or getting diagnosed with a fictitious disorder because of the PERCEPTION of widespread faking of Autism particularly Aspergers. I lost count of how many posts and threads there have been on WP of people wanting to disassociate themselves from Aspergers, wanting the words Aspergers or Aspie to dissapear because of the association with fakery and wanaabees.
The OP lists a Paris location. If you do this enjoy bieng "packed"

Yeah considering the risk of getting charged with fraud and low income disability pays it wouldn't really be worth all that effort.
As for some other posts, perhaps the OP is being hypothetical rather than actually wanting to attempt that or trolling, probably trolling if they don't come back though.

No, not at all having a job makes you dependent on your boss for income and potentially health insurance or whatever. It also means should you be injured on the job or unfairly treated you are dependent on the legal system to attempt to make it right. I could go on....but yeah a grinding full time job with hardly enough pay to live on but you can't quit because you need the money, that's not, not having to rely on others and having control over your own life. That is the status quo is what that is. That said I do hope I am able to work eventually since its still more than SSI so maybe a little easier to live on. But I wouldn't see it as gaining independence and not having to rely on others.

I am pretty certain a good actor (who studies the role) could "fake it".
For me, I always have to be myself. I struggle with role-playing, let alone acting.
With that being said, it is quite possible that my knowledge of Asperger's affected how I answered some of the questionnaires during the diagnosis process. By that, I mean I was so aware of my current symptoms, that perhaps I forgot about past incidents in my life where those symptoms were not present. Essentially, what I am saying is that I remember (in fine detail) those experiences from my past which supported a diagnosis. But, I was less apt to remember those experiences from my past which did not support a diagnosis. Then again, I am not certain that such experiences even existed. My memory is just not that perfect.
The problem with a fake diagnosis being made is not whether they are that good of an actor, but rather the competence of the diagnostician involved.
As for faking it, do all the prep you want, but it will only be prep. As soon as they go off your script, you will be caught (With the proper diagnostician) and I hope the people who are trying to fake it get caught and severely penalized.
Having been in a program, and during that time depend on social services, it ain't the idea that the politicians want to put forth. It's no walk in the park and it certainly ain't no bonanza either.
Yeah, fake diagnoses are the epitome of evil to me. It marginalizes the people who do suffer and it promotes an idea that it's a fake diagnosis anyway. Shame on anyone wanting to do this.

Real autism is very difficult to fake. It's more than just rocking, obsessive monologues and covering your ears at every errant sound you hear. It takes people of great strength to live with our condition, and you OP, don't have it if you're willing to scam the government and real disabled people out of money because you're too lazy to get a job. I do hope you try it though, and once you're convicted of disability fraud, I hope the doctor you tried to fool writes a paper about you, a brief examination of the absurd lengths to which greedy people will go to steal money.

Apparently, I skimmed too quickly through the OP's post way too quickly. I had assumed that the OP was asking if "faking it" was possible. I didn't realize the OP was thinking of actually doing so. I 100% agree with your sentiments.

Well, he didn't directly say as much, but that's definitely the way the tone of the post came across.
