I particularly hate being touched unexpectedly or not when my myoclonus is acting up.

Absolutely, yes. When I'm sick my reserves are gone, so I have nothing to fall back on. And to make matters worse, my body - which is not always my friend sensory-wise anyway - is suddenly sending all these incredibly LOUD signals of discomfort FROM WITHIN. Having say, a sore throat, coughing, sinus pain, snot everywhere, itchy eyes and aches everywhere...the only good side is that there is so much noise from within I barely pay attention to external sources of discomfort! Until I do, that is, and then I cannot. shut. them. out.

Ugh. I just want this cold virus to be done with me and go away.
