I was just clowning around. I was expecting someone to rebuff me with, "You're an a**hole," or "you're a jerk."

I looked a little like Cousin Oliver, actually. I had the same hair color, same hairstyle, even had the same glasses. And I was 12 years old; whereas Oliver was about 9.

He was the younger cousin of the Brady Bunch kids.

I've seen several episodes of BBT over the years, and can see where it would appeal to some. In my case though I was never able to warm up to it simply because those main characters aren't ones I can identify with or would care to have in my circle of friends (with apologies to all the nerdy geeks out there). Sheldon and company would be totally "out of my league", although certain issues in the programme (like the ever out-of-order elevator) did amuse me. My only guess about the revamped character behaviour is that the writers may be trying to lure different demographics into watching the series. I know radical changes took place on long-running shows in the late 1960's in an effort to de-ruralise the audience.
Also thanks KK for reminding us about the origin of "shark jumping" on television. However I believe "Happy Days" jumped the season they stopped filming on a lot and took it to an indoor soundstage shooting before a live audience.
In addition at the age I was when Oliver appeared on the Bradys, I erroneously suspected he could be John Denver's kid. A boy at my grade school named Tom Allan looked quite a bit like Oliver, although Tom did not have glasses.

Oliver did look a lot like John Denver, didn't he? He also wore the same glasses.

I guess I'm in the right place nowdays.

FWIW, "Rocky Mountain High" now refers to a chain of "pot shops" in the Denver area.

I hope John's kids are getting their trademark royalties.
