I tried being as 'normal' as possible for the past 7 years. It has brought me nothing and people still think I'm weird. I am completely done with it. If autistic is the only thing I can be, then why would I rein it in. None of these supposed 'socially normal' people have ever made efforts to Bridge the distance between them and me. Why do I have to do all the work when my social skills are poor and less trained to begin with? I'm so sick of it all.

No, because I don't feel the need to be normal.

Every single day. My PDD-NOS has made my life extremely difficult and has also put my mom through a lot. She has had to drive me back and forth to multiple therapists (until I could drive). It has also made it hard for me to stay in college and keep jobs without me getting so anxious that I quit. However, some parts of my PDD-NOS have made me who I am. I think that being made fun of made me a kinder, more sensitive, and more understanding person.

No, because having AS is just a part of who I am.
