I try to enhance this feeling, and see just how far I can push it.
With luck, I think that I can get out of existence this way.

I get this probably several times a month. Sometimes I just feel detached from my body and what's going on around me. Sometimes I'm almost completely unaware of what's going on. I've even driven home and don't even remember setting off.

When I was younger I was convinced I could get to another dimension if I focused on these events hard enough - sadly never did quite happen :(

Common for me as a child, but I only experience it maybe twice a month now. My ex-shrink told me it was due to my abusive childhood -- the whole "depersonalization" thing -- but I think she's an ass. The dreamy, not there feeling is preceded by a strange weightlessness in my hands, and sounds, like people talking, become far away. Also, I have an uncontrollable need to focus on my hands or an object for long periods of time, screening everything else out. Used to freak me out when I was younger, but now I like it.

I get that sometimes. One time I was holding my rabbit (who died three years ago RIP) and I sort of lost my mind for a short time and forgot what I was doing and couldn't figure out where I was (In the back garden!). Some doctors think I am having petit mals attacks because I don't always remember what was going on!
