Self Diagnosis Issues

If you're suspicious that you may have AS, the best solution would be just GET A DAMN DIAGNOSIS.
And why would that be?
Certainly quicker than beating round the bush saying 'do I have it?'. If he thinks he might, it's fair enough... but if he feels an urge to pester people to ask if they think he has AS, he might as well just ask a professional!

On the other hand, that's expensive, and this guy apparently has cash-flow problems.

Yeah, just been over this in another thread - I wasn't aware that some countries charge for a diagnosis.
My question concerning drugs in my original post was meant to discern whether anyone else has had them increase the effects of AS and if that's typical. If that's not the case, I would probably be able to rule out AS right there and then. There's no need to name any drugs imo, it's just not necessary. I know of Erowid by the way, it's a very good site.
To those of you who think I should be running off to a shrink, well, I think you're missing the point of life. I'm living an experience here, let me figure things out for myself.

It rather is, if you're talking about illegal drugs (I thought you meant medical drugs you were taking for these symptoms, thats why I didn't understand why you expected the symptoms to get better when you cut down!), then there are several that have been linked with triggering Schizophrenia (esp. marijuana is strongly linked to triggering the onset of Schizophrenia in "vulnerable" individuals, i.e. ones that showed schizotypal traits previously) and psychosis (cocaine, amphetamines) as well as general mental decline and mental health problems (again marijuana, LSD).
So *normally* drugs tend to cause such symptoms or can push schizotypal traits into full-blown Schizophrenia. However I *have* read accounts of people who "felt normal for the first time" when taking things like LSD. Some become psychotic from stimulants because it excarbates bipolar tendencies which according to the NAS up to 30% of people on the spectrum have, others develop anxiety from things like dope, yet others feel "normal" and calm on stimulants like ADD meds (legally, at legally prescribed doses not overdosing) or even cocaine.
So it really does matter a LOT which drugs we're talking about.
