Is it harmful for health?
Any drug an individual tries for the first time is done so at the individual's own risk. Having said that, here's my personal opinion: I'd think it very unlikely that it would do any harm. Even regular marijuana appears to be harmless for most people, and CBD oil doesn't even have the psychoactive component.
I've tried CBD oil. Can't say I've seen any noticeable effect, though I don't doubt it might have sedative, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties for a lot of people, and maybe others would find it makes them feel a bit weird. I'd be tempted to up the dose in my own case, but it's pretty expensive stuff, especially considering it's only an extract of wild hemp that's very cheap to make in principle. Its commercial cultivation is for some reason very heavily regulated in both the US and the UK, which I would imagine adds to the price.
If you live in the US and don't have much money, you might find it cheaper to seek out some feral hemp growing wild and use that instead, though naturally it'd be hard to know the exact dose of CBD you were getting that way, just like it is with any wild herb. Against that there's the holistic ideology from which we might figure it to be healthier to consume the leaves rather than the refined extract. And like I say, it would seem unlikely you'd do yourself any harm as long as you proceeded with due caution. Like I say, at your own risk. Don't forget you could misidentify the plant or go and eat one that had been sprayed with herbicides, so research it well and don't proceed unless you're sure you know what your'e doing. The seeds appear to be difficult to buy and I'm not sure about the legality of growing your own, though I expect it would grow very well in a hot country. It can even be grown outdoors in the UK but I've never seen it growing wild, and I gather the UK is a tad cold and dark for it.
