I hope this does not offend or hurt anyone's feelings when I say this but I just don't think of this forum as a place to meet people or make friends. Most people posting here are challenged by that in some way and that's probably why we're here to begin with. Maybe coming together into one place just amplifies those challenges rather than mitigating them.

This forum is overwhelming to me with the sheer amount of people and topics and things going on, so if I ever overlook something or don't respond it's never an intentional snub or anything like that. I figure a lot of others probably feel the same way.

Really one of the things I like about coming here is most of the time I can post something and probably no one will respond to me directly. Or if they do it is just informational and there are no demands being put on me to respond back and engage them in a two-way conversation. It is kind of peaceful for me that way. It is nice when people want to be friends but then it takes a lot more effort.

So you're mad that people aren't agreeing with you, talking to you, and seeking you out? And you think that we should because we all happen to be somewhere on the spectrum so we should all like and agree with each other? That's not how things work.

More people dislike me here than like me, and even fewer know who I am. But that's ok. It doesn't impact my life and it doesn't impact yours either any more than you allow it to by investing in it. My advice is to try different tactics and find out what people respond positively to and use them when you communicate. That's basically how its done for everybody who has friends. While we aren't born with that internal filter, we can develop it by trial and error and logic and paying attention. That's what I did.

A lot of posts aren't responded to directly on forums. If I responded directly to every single person who participates in every thread that I participate in, I would be here a while, even if you exclude the game topics.

How about starting threads, or asking more questions? Also, mentioning people by name and asking questions of them directly? Do you think any of these might work for you?

There are times when people don't respond to what I say, for whatever reason.

It goes with the territory.

Okay, I've been on here for years (since 2005 but changed usernames) and have not found not one and I mean one person that thinks like me nor not that many people I get along with. I joined WP to find and make friends, meet people and socialize. In return, I found none of my posts most of the time NEVER get looked at and the LGBTQA forum always seems to be empty, so most of the time it feels like I'm talking to myself. I thought this was supposed to be an Autism- friendly space! Most of what I see here is worse judging than NTs. It angers me. How are we supposed to be a joined community when most of the community does not get along? What are the NTs supposed to think of us when we are bad mouthing each other? There seems to be more drama in the Autism community than the NT world will ever had. Quite frankly I'M SICK OF IT! Why can't we be more united and stop beating up and fighting each other? Yes, I said it! I saw no topic about this but I wanted to address this. I'm tired of people not really responding to me. I try to be social but the honest truth I'm not social at all I'm a super introvert and it's hard to adjust nor talk to people because even my ex husband Daniel says that it seems like I've created my own unique language that mirrors English since languages have always been hard for me but music and writing was more my language. I'm not so good at writing anymore and in my eyes not good enough in music but at least it's something I'm somewhat good at. *End of Rant* By the way, where is the outreach for the non verbal/not as social autistics on here? That bugs me also..Sorry if this makes no sense, my brain thinks everything out of order and I try to sift through the chaos to give you complete sentences but it doesn't work so this is the best I could come up with. :(

According to the stats on your profile: you joined Nine years ago. And in those nine years you made a total of 218 posts!

For practical purposes you have never participated in WP. So you have essentially put absolutely nothing into WP iall of that time. So why do you expect to get anything OUT of it? I think that you have got some serious gall to demand that we all be instant friends with you when you only post once every month or so!
