They used the dots inside as negatives, dots outside as positive. the value of the first two columns equals the third column on each row.
2+1=3
-1+3=2
-2+1=-1 (Triangle with dot in the middle)
Until the explanation was given, it didn't even occur to me to find a mathematical solution. My working memory is horrible, but my static short term memory is pretty good. Long term memory is excellent. I likely have dyspraxia along with my probable ASD and diagnosed ADHD. Clumsy as a penguin with vertigo.
