I discovered philosophy in a classroom while everyone else was bored to death. The first lesson featured a very vivid narrative from Plato and it struck me as fascinating. I wanted to learn more, became obsessed, and the rest is just me being the department weirdo at university.

I have been interested in science since I was very little. My fascination with chemistry started when my family bought some old chemistry sets for me to play with when I was just starting kindergarten. Later on, I learned how to use some of the dark sides of science to help defend myself when I was being severely bullied in school.

I would be very interested to know what you mean by the "dark side of science"?

I discovered Doctor Who through my dad. I remember watching it with him as a kid and got really into it in 2012 when I was a senior in high school and met other fans through Tumblr.

Yep....I liked Tex Antoine, too.

He made some stupid remark, and got thrown off the air.

I became interested in video games when my dad bought me my first video game, Rayman M for the ps2 (a great game by the way....at least to me). and the obsession wasn't there yet BUT it started with me getting 30 minutes a day at 5pm to play it, which was okay, as i wasn't that bothered back then. but then i started to play more complex games, games that needed more time, my dad sat me on his lap when i was 8 and let me play guild wars 1, i loved that game and played it quite a bit, but then my dad found WoW. and he let me have a character on WoW so he sat me on his lap and we created my first character, my first one was an undead rogue, now i didn't understand what a rogue was, but at the time i was really into zombies, skeletons and robots, so this was a very cool race to me and i liked the dagger thing and being able to be invisible (at that time, rogues couldn't dual wield till they were about level 10). i found that rogues could stealth, so i stealthed past all the passive mobs (not understanding they were passive of course) except i never called stealth stealth, i called it "sneakypeaky mode" haha, i just really liked the word (it was from an advert that was on at the time) and the obsession began from there, i had a birthday where i got a lot of money, so i decided to spend it on getting my own account to play with, my dad transferred my first proper character (named hydro, he was a level 40 paladin that my dad helped me level) and i created a gnome warrior. thats how i got my obsession.

side story: as this gnome warrior i got to level 11 (i was 10 years old, that was hard to me) and a level 70 (the max level at the time) said to me "hey if you can beat me in a dual ill give you 1000 gold" and i said okay, 3 hours later i won and blew the gold on twinking the character (getting him really good gear off the auction house). he basically sat there and let me hit him, he got bored after a while and hit me with a frost bolt, which reduced me to half health, he was surprised that i survived. he polymorphed me back to full health (for some reason) then attempted to melee me to death, but his staff doesn't do damage (it was a special one) in melee attacks, it had a condition on it that made it only hurt demons (or something like that) so it would say "immune" when he hit me and he went "OMG invincible gnome!" haha i won...im proud. (and stubborn).

what a wall of text, but my start to this obsession was so epic i had to say it all.
