Yes I often blank people in the street. I have never been any good at face recognition.
The last sets with noise on the pictures were just impossible.

I did not find this hard. I also did pretty well on another test I did recently, where the emotions expressed on faces had to be identified (less well than on this one, because not all emotions expressed appeared genuine to me).
On a third test I did some time ago, where facial and bodily expressions were purposefully communicating something, I scored not much higher than 0%. So I'm not face-blind, but intention-blind.

This tests can be used to improve yourself, right?

I have trouble even remembering exactly what close friends look like, or family members if they are not in front of me, lol.

I hated that test...those faces give me the creeps. Really unpleasant faces. And they all looked the same to me in the second half of the test. I was ok when it was just in threes as I went by the eye shape.

Three of the faces looked like people I knew from real life and TV and I remembered the chubby cheek one so that made it much easier.

In real life, I have a friend who looks like someone else on my uni course and every time I see her I can't decide which one she is.

45 and 63% I think

Excellent on Bart Simpson, then it went downhill - they were creepy. I could remember one facet - sticky out eyes, aqualine nose, puffed out cheeks but no more than that so parts 2 and 3 were often guesses.

I'm not sure, but I don't think so. It seems to me that our brains come with a bunch of "receptors", each for specific types of things, and we've got to do with whatever particular set of "receptors" we've been dealt with. It's possible to compensate a bit for blind spots that we have (e.g. I do now, at age 40, have just a bit of an ability to infer people's intentions), but it never becomes the direct observation that would have been possible with the appropriate "receptor".

On our previous version of this test, the average person with normal face recognition was able to recognize about 80% of the faces. If you correctly identified less than 65% of the faces, this may indicate face recognition difficul
