Yeah, he's obviously an aspie.

That's why, despite his evidently high intelligence, he can only get a job in a run-down lab where they can't even afford enough light bulbs, not to mention shipping their specimens out to specialized labs that typically run such tests. No, that lab is so desperate, they pay a couple of young cops or college students to do all their lab work - which, apparently, is actually used as evidence in criminal trials.

And that poor medical examiner. He has to work in a room with only one dim light bulb, no assistants, and painfully sparse equipment. I don't think he even has access to a camera most of the time. Worst of all, he is always pressured to report his findings before the autopsy is complete, not to mention all the tests he'd probably like to have done that would take weeks to yield results.

I do worry about the NV criminal justice system because of that show.

Obviously, if Grissholm was not an aspie, he would be able to get a job at an adequately funded and ethically run establishment.

I thought it was the David Caruso character Horatio Caine on CSI Miami is an Aspie, because of the sunglasses

I would not count out him being an aspie because of his eye contact, or awareness in a conversation. I seriously think his character may be been modeled as an aspie, in fact because my wife say he reminds her a bit of me. Also is was kind of alluded to the epiode "caged" from the second season

Hear! Hear! Grissom is of an age that would have been and could easily be undiagnosed. When you grow up not even knowing what you're living with, you learn all sorts of coping mechanisms to appear acceptably NT.

I think he definitely has Aspie traits. He really identified with the autistic guy who witnessed one of the murders he investigated. "Caged", I think.

Would be nice to ask the writers whether they meant him to be Aspie, or just nerdy. :)

If Grissom has AS, then the moon is made out of green cheese. He is WAY to social and WAY to friendly to be AS. If anyone on CSI has AS it is Greg Sanders. Grissom seems too socialy aware and does not appear to have any issues. What makes people think he has AS anyway?

If not Aspergers, it's NLD, non-verbal learning disability. I'm Grissom.

The charactor Grissom had Autisic traits as did the charactor Sara Sidle. Eye contact of TV charactors is something I do not notice.

I think the dust bunny under my bed has autistic traits. It keeps to itself. Is stuck in the same daily routine. Is nonverbal. Never makes eye contact....
