I'm actually especially good with special intelligence. I can read maps better than anybody in my family (without having practised or been taught) and I can remember paths so well that when I was 13 I lead my family back to a restaurant across town in a foreign city at night. This has always been a strength of mine.

My verbal intelligence is high but on online tests of spatial intelligence I've averaged about 72. I have a poor sense of direction. I stop short of saying it's bad enough to be labelled "topographical disorientation". Have lived here over 20 years but if a stranger asks me how to get anywhere near here I'm stumped. I've now taken to saying I'm a stranger in town to deflect the question.
