I have a Galaxy S7 which I use instead of a computer most of the time. I use it to talk to my friends on whatsapp, skype or text and to make various calls to doctors offices and my mother if I need something. I also use it for Uber to get around the city instead of sh***y cabs.

I also never go anywhere without it because I love Google maps. I can never get lost. I am usually terrible with directions and get lost easily without it. I have all of my appointments set in my phone which helps remind me and make up for some of my executive dysfunction.

I pay $65/month+tax for unlimited talk canada wide, unlimited text worldwide and 2GB of LTE+ data woth voicemail and caller ID which is a pretty good price for Canada.

I have found that people often do not believe me when I say I do not have a cell phone. I know I am in the minority for not having one, but really, why lie about such a thing? It's odd to me that people find a lack of a cell phone so unbelievable.

My landline rang earlier (it rings about once a week and scares the s**t out of me). It was the surgery ringing to rearrange my wife's monthly blood test. They asked to speak to her and I had a brain-fart and said "she can't talk to you" rather than "I'm sorry, she has aphasia and I'm her carer. You can speak to me". The lady on the other end was completely confused.

I should be kept as far away from telephones as possible :)

All that without the phone element would be pretty good :)

I don't have a mobile phone, either. I don't see the need in having one.

It is sparse in the 71 percent of the state that is federal land and was never transferred to the state after statehood. Keeping state lands federalized after transitioning from being a territory to a state is a con, hoax, scam cooked up by our federal government so it can earn the financial benefits of so much land instead of the state. But, the state and its citizens are prohibited from these lands, except, in some cases, "camping" or "visiting" them instead of actually developing them. As a result, our few populated cities are urban nightmares. The Utah government has been battling this abuse in federal courts for most of its existence. Sprawl has come to the wilderness.

Ah, so you have a few larger sprawling cities rather than many smaller towns and cities? That doesn't sound good. The largest town in my county (Cornwall) has a population of only 22,000. We don't even have a motorway down here.

My grandparents live in Cornwall, it's really beautiful. I was born in England and would like to go back there to live someday.

As for the phone, I hate making phone calls and never answer unless it's a number I recognise (sometimes not even then). I do like having my phone for GPS, as I get lost absurdly easily, and I play games on it when I'm bored, but other than that, I could take it or leave it.

It's beautiful alright. I've moved away a few times (London, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Dartmoor) but always came back home. I can't see myself moving again.

I have one, but I don't use it much, in fact I ALWAYS let it go to voicemail first and then I return the call because then I feel like I am in better control of the conversation.

I've had one ever since I drove into a snowy ditch twenty years ago and had to walk for help. Until I got a new job a couple of years ago I hardly used it/them. (I like electronic toys, so have had a lot of different phones). Now I keep the ringer on silent and let it go to voicemail and try and do my work via email. The phone will ring through if it is my husband or son calling.

I have a Galaxy S6 and am on a plan with my mom, so I'm not sure how much the whole thing costs, but I pay about $50. My phone, for me, is a comfort item. It contains all of my favorite pictures and music and without it, I feel lost. I know that isn't good, but I don't like being out in public without it because I feel like I will have no way to contact my mom if I have a meltdown, panic attack, or seizure.

Never had one. The idea of people bieng able to reach me anytime, anywhere frightens me. Plus it would have been costly as I would have lost them all the time.

Now that I am non verbal people are not constantly imploring and "suggesting" I get one, or giving me one as a "gift" anymore.

All that without the phone element is a tablet.

And get rid of the touchscreen and I may be able to use it :)

I do not have a cell phone, but at some point I'll get myself a burner phone because they tend to be cheaper and are prepaid before they are actually used.
