Anyone whistling music can set me off with nearly instant agitation & hate.
My options are to:
a) ignore (works up to 30 seconds before I start turning red in the face)
b) politely ask them to stop (poor choice - may require socializing with a stranger)
c) leave the area (primary choice)
d) headphones (good choice if available)
e) plug my ears with fingers (rude but I've done this a couple times)
f) explode (I haven't hit this red button yet though I've felt like it so many times)

Whistling drives me crazy too! The worst is when somebody isn't even whistling a recognizable song, just whistling aimlessly in the wind, so to speak.

There's a million little noises that piss me off but "people noises" are the worst.

I agree. Some people want to be as loud and obnoxious as possible. I know people can't help sneezing, coughing, burping, and the like, but please people-COVER YOUR MOUTHS! Not only it is obnoxious, it spreads germs and I don't want to get sick again.

It's really annoying on the bus. Someone sitting right behind you. You can feel their fluids on the back of the neck. 8O
