Thank you everyone who has replied here, I am now feeling so supported. It is brilliant to know that I am not the only one. I will take my list and wear my hoodie and my sparkley boots. I do trust the psychologist, and I will try to trust myself a little more. I like the chemistry idea, too- this is not a test I can fail. And if Xena (or is it Gabrielle?) is holding my hand, I helps me feel very strong and courageous!
:D

Mine is coming up in a week and a half and I am feeling sort of the same way. Reading these replies has helped me, too, so thank you for being vulnerable and reaching out (inadvertently on my behalf). I'll also be bringing my list (that is, mini manuscript) and my mom for an outside perspective and my therapist's notes. I think it will be okay.

Not sure what the private process you are doing is like but I'd mentally prepare not to get any results on the day.

I have emailed them with a bunch of questions, and yes I do get the results on the day. I can pay extra for a written report which will take a couple of weeks.
It's a centre in Coventry with a lady who specialises in ASD in adults. Her credentials are very good.

Well good luck, I waited 4 months for my results on the NHS 8O
