Anyone else “normal” about food + link to adult forum
ButchCoolidge"...I also sometimes request new forks - for instance, who wants to eat some baked beans with a fork that just had salad dressing all over it? Not me....[/quote]
I do that for some foods. Something like a salad especially I wouldn't want to use the same fork as for my "main" meal, or that silverware with like ice cream or something. I'm also more bugged by it if I've set the silverware down for a while. It becomes totally gross to use the same thing.

I go as far as having the divided plates so stuff doesn't mix.
I used to be more vigilant about that when I was little than I am now. Now, depending on what the food is, I don't mind. Like if I'm having turkey and dressing and gravy, I don't mind all that on the same plate. Nor would I probably mind mashed potatoes and gravy...and I think I wouldn't even mind cranberry sauce on there (I know I used to have...though I think I always put it in a separate bowl anyway).
Anyway, it's good to hear that you don't HAVE to have eating issues to have AS. I was starting to vaguely wonder if I didn't since I'm pretty normal with food. I really wish these "official" sites and what not wouldn't act like some of these particular symptoms are absolutely required.
