I like silversmithing, usually on brass. There's a period when I'm shaping the metal, and need to be able to detect when I'm pushing it past the springy range and actually forming it. It is also pleasant to use well-designed tools that do their work quickly with hand power. Then there's a rather tedious period of making all the scratches finer and finer until they vanish, and the surface looks like liquid. Getting rid of the last haze of tool marks is very satisfying. With enough care, brass looks just like gold, except it needs regular polishing to restore brightness.

My favourite though, is the wind and the windier the better. I was walking my dog at the beach yesterday and it was blowing so hard it felt like the air was being sucked from my lungs

:) I like the wind too, but for me it has to be subtle, intermittent and teasing. Just the gentle brush of cool breeze against my body, just pressing into my skin and hair. I like that - it's transporting, and everything else will empty out of me while that is happening.
I used to like swimming pools, too - the sound and smell of water splashing on hot concrete, the trademark "swimming pool blue" of the old outdoor pools, the way the light glinted off the water, the cold/hot sensations of the cold of the water and the heat of the concrete around it and the sun. And when you were in there, the slide of the water against my skin, the muted sounds against my ears, and the weightless feeling.
I hope to get back to a swimming pool soon. My physique isn't quite up to it yet!

I like sitting out in the rain. It smells, sounds, and feels great.

When I was a kid and we went to the tractor supply store, my mom would always take me over to the feed barrels and we'd play in the cracked corn and bird seed.

I have a stuffed Pusheen that IS THE SOFTEST THING IN THE WORD OMFG.

That is one of the most beautiful pieces, and you have good taste.

Too many to name, but lately I've developed a special "thing" for leather furniture. I can't get enough of it!

Being on a boat in choppy seas.

I like getting, or giving a great massage. The kind where you are not sure if you can separate yourself from the table afterward until you try using a muscle again. Also, hugs. The secret of a great hug is not in the frontal contact, it is in the hands, holding the other's back as if it were a baby's.
