If you get your eyes checked out and there is nothing physically wrong, you may want to check out Irlene Syndrome. It might be that a sensory problem with visual input is straining your eyes all day and they are just plain tired at night. If it is Irlene syndrom, the solution is pretty simple - just colored lenses that reduce the strain on your visual system. But get them checked by a regular doctor first. I would hate to hear that you have a real visual-motor problem and you wasted time getting it treated because you were trying colored lenses instead.

I've heard of irlen. I suspect it may be something similar or sensory over load of some type. Or akathisia. I have real issues with the colour white. So much so I have to avoid doing art with the colour white or if I do it's a struggle and causes stress/fatigue etc. I generally don't like bright colours and my favourite colours are black with a small bit of red in it.

I really like the Irlene Lenses. They are a fun and don't involve pills, surgery, or anything painful. And when they work, they work well.
