I'm 21 years older, and a lot of living happened since '96, despite the total re-set that year when I only got one van-load of gear from my divorce instead of a house. I have worked full-time, but never for very long. Part-time work is far more available now, and there are also opportunities to run a web-based business on your own hours at low to no overhead.
I didn't graduate high school, but I have lectured to graduating engineers after going to the library and showing an experiment.
