Yes, I get that a lot. Superficially I seem very mature for my age, and people respect me and expect a lot from me. Then they get to know me and reject me because they realize I'm actually annoyingly childish. It's very hurtful.

I think it's just as evil when a two-year-old does it. It's not cute to me at all. I had enough problems with bullying as a child to realize that adults' views of children's behaviour are clouded. Most people see kids as angelic. I know they can be horribly, horribly cruel. I don't think it's funny when they do things like that. I don't think it's cute at all.

Letting kids get away with things like that teaches them that it's okay. As they grow up, they move on to bigger and better cruelty. Countless parents don't even *think* about that.
