As long as you don't let a potential diagnosis of autism affect how you're living your life before the diagnosis, then it's cool.

If you let your diagnosis rule you, then it's usually not so cool.

It's not affecting my life no, I knew when I made this thread that nothing of real substance could be taken from her words, but I still felt like talking about it so I made this thread.

It sounds as if she was speculating...rather than making a definitive statement.

Yeah, agreed. She was only speculating, and I knew that when I made this thread, but her speculation got me wondering about all this.

Is it making anything worse?

No, it's not making anything worse.

Well if it's free and not making anything worse , it maybe worth sticking with for a bit longer to see if things get better. Ultimately the choice is yours. I don't feel confident telling someone they should stay or leave therapy.

True, I was starting to wonder whether I should leave the therapy site because the things that I discuss there are probably so trivial compared to what some members must be going through, I feel like I'm taking up their time when I shouldn't, you know?

But... it might be worth sticking out, if not just for someone to talk to about things my friends don't get. Yeah, it's a free service.

Also, damn, this must be a popular time for this site because I seem to be getting a lot of quick replies now. 8O

Update: I posted on another forum about the whole online therapy site, and an admin offered to refer me to a more stable service that's more on a one-on-one basis, so I PM'd them and currently I'm still waiting on a response about that.

I actually decided to take these quizzes, so I guess I might as well share the results here.

Results for aspie quiz:

Aspie score: 88/200
NT score: 106/200.
You seem to have both neurodiverse and neurotypical traits.

Well I took the quiz again and got quite a different result...

Your neurodiverse (Aspie) score: 78 of 200

Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 130 of 200

You are very likely neurotypical.

Maybe I should redo the other test as well.

As for the RAADS-R test, I scored:

Above test threshold, may be worth getting assessed.

Total score: 137.0 (yellow)
Language: 9.0 (yellow)
Social relatedness: 52.0 (yellow)
Sensory/motor:43.0 (yellow)
Circumscribed interests:33.0 (yellow)

Scores with a yellow background are above the test threshold values. If your total score is above the threshold it may be worth getting professionally assessed.

So I redid that test, and I got...

Total: 119 (yellow)

Language: 10 (yellow)

Social: 40 (yellow)

Sensory/Motor: 41 (yellow)

Interests: 28 (yellow)
