You can watch "Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse" on YouTube.

It was from 1960.

They had lots of funny criminals on that cartoon. The funniest was the one called "The Frog." He spoke like Edward G. Robinson when he played Al Capone.

Cool :D ! I think I would like "The Frog".

In the 1960s, it should be remembered, virtually every adult in the "Western World" smoked cigarettes and drank alcohol "socially."

Yeah- my grandparents used to, until they learned about the health risks.

I believe you would like "Top Cat," too.

The animation in Hanna Barbara cartoons was quite good.

Is anyone here familiar with dcd and how to treat it?

I've read about it before. It's basically not being able to control the ammount of presure you put on things. Like EzraS, Said. Occupational therapy or physical therapy could help.
P.S. MY dentist thinks I should go back to occupational therapy just to learn how to brush my teeth. That's sounds like a huge waste of time and money.

It's funny you mention brushing teeth- I press so hard on my toothbrush that I sometimes brush off my enamel 8O .

I brush off my enamel all the time and damage my gums. my dentist made me get an electric one that lights up red and shows a frowny face on the remote display when i push to hard :)

My sister said she has always thought I was most probably dyspraxic. I think it was even more so the case when I was younger ,and that I've improved with time. It could be wishful thinking though.

Either your coordination has improved, or you have found ways of working with your clumsiness, or you have gotten comfortable at your level of skill, or a combination of these. Either way, there is something positive to look forward to if it is wishful thinking. And there is nothing to say that all of these will not continue to improve. :)

Yes, congratulations on getting a diagnosis. Hopefully, now, you can find medication, therapy, and/or information to improve, find workarounds, and/or get comfortable with these.

I think it's probably because I don't tend to get into situations where my motor skills are really challenged. I notice my balance is still off. For example I tend to feel wobbly if I stand on a chair to fit a light bulb. Also I'm a messy eater.

I don't know if it's at all dyspraxia related but my organising and planning skills have not improved. I struggle with tasks requiring multiple steps.

If any diy needs doing my stepdaughter does it when she visits. I have absolutely no ability at constructional tasks.

If I have an unusual level of clumsiness*, it is due to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder causing loose joints and weak skin.

*I ran into a wall the other day. Neither of us was moving! I am constantly covered in mysterious bruises. *Looking at arms and legs.* "Where did that come from?"
