I try drawing contestants/judges from AGT all the time, and people are always like, "What the heck is that??! !"

Oh are you watching America's Got Talent? Who do you want to win? Who are you glad is gone? I really like the ventriloquist girl Darci, but I didn't like Puddles the Clown!

And I just now noticed your avatar pic!

Well, it was a special interest, but I think it may be becoming one (a special interest) again. I liked Puddles Pity Party, but I'm so sad The Masqueraders are gone. Eric Jones messed up on his trick, for crying out loud! I think Darci Lynne will win! :D

Yep The Masqueraders were great!

It would be nice if Darci wins, she's so talented and seems so genuinely sweet as well. I'm glad both those girls went through.

Granted, I'm not very good at drawing, but I'm more likely to do it when I'm relaxed. If I'm already stressed, I'm more likely to get very frustrated with my inability to get something exactly how I want it. I also have a tremor that gets worse if my muscles are tense, which is more likely to be the case if I'm stressed, and only makes trying to draw more frustrating.

^^^ This goes for me too. I'm fairly good at drawing but, even so, when I'm stressed my finer motor skills, which one needs in order to do it well, are too affected by tension for it to be an enjoyable, relaxing activity or to produce the best result.

I have issues with perfectionism, and that makes it actually already a stressful activity for me even though I have some skills in it.

I don't anymore, but as a kid I did draw when my brain was too stressed for words -- also carved (into school desks). Later in my 20's carved into my skin -- not cutting, but carving shapes. I grew out of it when I learned how to control myself more & learned how to tolerate my sensitivities a little bit better -- not be so reactive.

I draw when I am anxious. Drawing/ doodling is extremely relaxing and therapeutic for me, and I acquire the same sensation from drawing that I do from other self-soothing/stims. For some reason drawing causes me to concentrate and absorb information on a far deeper level, say, if I am listening to someone speak, or, a podcast, or what have you. When I draw in silence, I can get lost in thought, for hours upon hours.

No, I absolutely cannot draw. My visual spatial thinking is really bad, I get the proportions totally wrong.

I stopped drawing as a child when I realized I'm really bad. Sometimes I draw some really simple geometrical stuff, though.

I sometimes draw when i'm stressed. It soothes me and gives me something to do. At times it will stress me out even more because there is so many things going on in my mind at that moment.
To anyone out there doesn't know how to draw, you can replace drawing with one of those Adult coloring books. Also this article might be helpful for some people who need a bit of a guide. :)

I draw, paint and work on other arts and crafts when I'm stressed.

Sometimes. Mostly in class when I need to focus. Fidgeting and tics are already too noisy.

I'm not sure about stressed, but when I feel myself on the verge of a panic attack drawing usually diverts my thinking and calms me down. It also helps bring me stay awake when I'm woozy after eating (which can cause panic attacks for me if not taken care of).

I draw all the time. If I'm stressed or anxious it's more like angry, random lines trying to tear the paper into pieces though.

Yes, I do and always have done. I draw a picture of what's stressing me out. When I was about 8, I remember having a little tantrum because my older brother's school got to have a non-uniform day before breaking up for Christmas break, while my school wasn't having a non-uniform day and I thought it was unfair. When I calmed down, I drew a picture of me and my friends in the playground wearing our own clothes with a speech bubble saying "thank you Sir" to the principal. Cute.

And when I was 20 I got upset when the weather forecasted heavy snow, because I hate snow, due to the fear of slipping over. So I angrily drew a picture of me slipping on a patch of ice and strangers pointing and laughing at me. It seemed to make me feel better for some reason.
