I've lost many MANY things in situations like that. I guess I always figure if they want it bad enough to take it from someone and cause a scene that makes them look like a wench in front of everyone, so be it. Or, there have been a few occasions where I just say "fine, whatever" and walk off, then later the person brings it to me because they didn't get the reaction out of me they wanted.

What's the point in letting people walk all over you ?
This makes no sence whatsoever to me.
It's like saying theyr right for stealing your stuff.

Kosmonaut, I said yawn because you either didn't fully read my post or completely misinterpreted it, I got the frisbee back and I never said anything about not liking tarts or girls, I merely stated that was my classmate's opinion of this person. Yes, it wasn't my frisbee but I was part of the game, jeez, the ownership of it is hardly the point, what I was trying to get at by posting was about dealing with people like this who seemingly have nothing better to do than try and rip the piss. I'm not dismissing all girls either.

Walked off and explained to the frisbee owner, oh sorry I can't stand up for myself, no thanks, particularly in front of maybe 30+ people in earshot and many more near too.

Nah, it's not so much that. If it's something I really absolutely have to have, I'll get it back. But trivial things I have to decide if it's something I can replace very easily, or if I want to deal with confrontation. I weigh the odds first-how I'm feeling, whether or not it's actually worth it, etc. Yes, I know it doesn't make sense.

Usually, I just don't want to deal with it-the meaner they get, the more confused I am and the stupider I look, lol. I just choose not to usually, as most things can be replaced, and generally they're just doing it to get someone riled up anyway, at least I think so. I've wound up on meltdown mode a few times just trying to get something stupid back, and of course, then those people become chronic problems for me.

I also said, when they didn't get the reaction, a few times people would walk themselves over and give it to me as I walked off.

It just depends what is at stake I guess.

I'm also very naive to things, and if someone has my stuff and they flat out say "you're not going to get it back", I weigh the odds-me vs. possibly 5 people, yeah, they're right, I'm probably not going to. I don't even think outside of that-they have my item, in my mind, they're calling the shots, and that's it. I dunno why I think that way, but it's like that for me with anything confrontational.

well you rip the piss back out of them, or feign superiority, don't you.
Watch Larry David in Curb Yr Enthusiasm, he's a master in dealing with this sort of situation.

Anyways, the main thing is you don't let these idiots spoil your enjoyment. A superiotiry complex helps.

As nobodyzdream pointed out, refusing to battle it out is sometimes the best moves. At other times, I've had luck by simply being bold and brash right after their challenge. The problem is to know which opponents are what kind, and give them the opposite of what they "want"; submission or a fight -- and that's the illusive point for us aspies, I reckon...

I would've slowly sat myself down next to her and leaned in real close. "C'mon luv, I know you wanna gimme back the frisbee... don't you?" in a cooing, lovey-dovey tone.

So I proceeded to attempt to get it back but no, that wasn't going to happen. I simply said please, then she asked for an apology so I said I'm sorry but again that wasn't good enough she wanted more sincerity she wanted me to effectively say "I'm very very sorry that I have ruined your night can I please have the frisbee back?"

To which you should have responded: "b***h, I'm the best thing that ever happened to you this night." and began screwing her then and there before her boyfriend.

OR alternatively!

You could have simply said, "I'm sorry I've let a total b***h ruin MY night. Give me back my frisbee, WENCH!" Then performed a smackdown on both her and her boyfriend.

Hey Ramsus you are thinking raping a girl in response number one is a decent response?
Then mate. You are an idiot, pervert and a would be rapist. Well done mate! Your parent would be proud. I hope when you grow out of adolesense you will have more sense than you have displayed today and can become a real man.

Who said it would be rape? LOL! Quit subjecting your fantasies into my posts you sick, sex deprived pervert.

And hahah, I love your type of idiots.. the people who, without even fully understanding the subject they're choosing to attack, go ahead and unleash all of their unwitty insults! Don't you look like a fool now. Or more importantly.. Do you feel like a man?

I await your next post! I assume it will go something like.. "You are young and therefore I shall ignore you!"

Ramsus either you are serious in what you initially posted or you are not. If you are serious you are delusional, dangerous and all those things that I previously posted. If you were not serious you are wrong for posting your "advice" on how to handle the situation. If this was a flippant comment or an attempt at humour you failed miserably. Do you think that the nasty girl in this scenario would have consented to sex with you or the original poster in the circumstances that you describe? If not it would be rape. This is not how men conduct themselves Ramsus. This is my point. You bought up this scenario not me. If they are fantasies they are yours and yours alone. They ought not be shared in this way and certainly not given as a suitable way to perform in "real-life". Do I feel like a fool? Not at all and stand by everything I have written. Do I feel like a man? I am a man Ramsus and have been for a good many years. Ironically I do not wish to be right about the type of person you are, judging from the way you presented yourself. I would prefer to be completely wrong. I have a young daughter who in time may run into someone with the thought processes you have indicated above. If this is the case I would prefer to think it is harmless rather than dangerous.

OR! Perhaps you, in your Aspie inability to comprehend both sarcasm and logic, failed to properly understand the word rape was never used. As such, this is a term you threw into the equation. I can only assume this stems from some deep fantasy of yours which you enjoy subjecting onto others. Humor aside, I suggest you seek help.

Well we've gone off on a bit of a tangent! I'm going to tell one of my support people about this, she's easy to interact and talk with.

What can I say Ramsus? When you are wrong you are wrong. You put it out there. Don't try and project it back on me. I have taken your comments on board and have chosen to ignore them. They are derisive lacking any substance and show perhaps a lack of understanding of life and consequence of words or actions. Couple more years I would be interested in seeing if you have the same outlook on things. You may grow up. Stranger things have happened

So you don't like tarts. Maybe they don't like you. Maybe that's why you never got the frisbee back.

Well, i just like saying the word frisbee.
Anyway, you gotta assert yourself in some situations. Obviously, you have to pick the right battles. You have to walk away ( sometimes run away) if overmatched or outnumbered. If not, then rossc has given you the correct method.
Also, the girls/women you call tarts might not be as bad as you first think. Don't dismiss them so quickly; they have feelings too, and can be quite good company.
:D
