I got Alice in Wonderland syndrome with fevers as a kid. I used to feel like everything was "big and close and slow", like my furniture was enormous and was so close that I could see very bit of grain in the wood. I remember having a dream with a tire track that I fell into because it was so huge and deep. The slow part was that it felt like everyone moved with the kind of bouncy lack of gravity of the moon and talked too slowly (I dislike when people speak slowly anyway). I sort of grew out of it but, the part in Ferris Bueller where the camera zooms in on the painting still makes me nauseated and occassionaly I get the big, close, slow feeling out of nowhere.
I've always wondered if that was related to the aura based migraines that I've gotten since I was 12. I'm not sure it's related to autism either but, figured I'd mention here in case someone else had the same experience.
I don't have a signature and I read occasionally, don't post much. Self-diagnosed. Just took formal autism, anxiety, and ADD tests yesterday. Results next Tuesday...
