Pastors' kids are the worst. They are snobs and they think are something special because their parent or grandparent is the pastor.

I have a friend whose dad is a pastor, we even went to their church for a little while.

One year, one of the sons of our old pastor was in VBS with me. He seemed alright, but I only met him the one time, IIRC he lived in a different state with his mom.

The service itself is generally fine, but when they do coffee afterwords, I generally end up standing around alone being bored for a few minutes, then I leave.

When we were kids, me and my brother would grab our coffee and fig bars and bring them outside with us...

One time we had to help tidy the graveyard. Pulling up weeds around old graves, almost certain the weeds had grown from the decomposing people beneath.

Living things that had grown from the dead, I wouldn't say it felt wrong, necessarily, to remove them, but it did feel problematic. To me, anyway. Everyone else just wanted rid of the weeds.

The church I go to is all over the world. I am accepted and loved there. I would be much more isolated without my church family.

Ooh, that does sound spooky. I try to remind myself that they are usually buried too deep for that sort of thing...and then I try not to think about the water table or anything like that o_o

The few church people I have been around seemed very genuinely nice. YMMV.
