^^ Oh yes, we all have "brain farts"; I've seen friends drop plenty of clangers. But experience tells me that my brain parps like someone who lives on a diet of only beans and boiled cabbage, hence an greater degree of caution is warranted!

I seldom light candles, but I have mastered the wood stove, use torches for metalworking and can safely demonstrate the explosive nature of flours. I was given a SVEA camping stove by a guy who had called it his "Swedish Firebomb." Lighting one is absurdly dangerous, but I'm used to it, and lost my old one. Of course, my car lights about 3,000 fires every minute.

I have motor issues & don't mind making fires in my parents fireplace or backyard but I never light candles. I don't really see a reason to & I don't like any that smell due to sinus problems.
