How do you feel about neighbor noise

The walls here are thick so most of the noises are quite silent and I am okay with that. Sometimes in summer when I have windows open, I may even enjoy the sounds of living unless it is something loud or unusual. What really sets me of is that my neighbours often seem to argue and it affects directly on my mood so that I have to listen music out loud to avoid hearing. Other annoying thing is neighbours having party or otherwise talking very loud when I try to sleep.

Noisy neighbors are annoying. We used to have an extremely noisy family of 4 one floor down. I rejoiced when they moved.

Thankfully there is seldom loud music or parties, and it's really quiet considering that the number of kids living here.

Silence is gold.

Thankfully mine are really quiet and put up with my noise without complaint. I drive a diesel powered pickup truck and repowered my custom antique garden tractor with a diesel. I find the sound of a diesel soothing and can fall asleep to it. Obviously I wear my ear muffs on my tractor since its loud. We used to have neighbors next door at our first apartment we had once we got married that would argue for hours on end. It was better than TV, we would both have a water glass up to the wall with our ear to it listening! AD

I’m very sensitive to noise, not all noise, I HATED my upstairs neighbors noises, they moved, so I’m in peace & quiet, I don’t think the upstairs apartment is rented out. Who in their right minds would want that apartment, the rent is over $1,900 & it a one bedroom apartment, but it is a very big apartment. I hope I can move before I get new neighbors.

Any kind of noise from my downstairs neighbour, or people coming into the building to do work etc... I find really stressful. I need complete silence around me to relax.

I have to deal with my fellow employees, and other people throughout the day. I need to be able to try and forget that anybody else exists to relax.

Depends what I want to do at home.
If I couldn't filter out the noise and in need of focus, I'll be annoyed and frustrated. If my mind is just wandering around, where I don't have to focus to enjoy, I wouldn't mind even if I'm going to sleep.

If it woke me up at night, I'd be likely be grateful at it.
If I have nothing better to do or think about, I'd just question it to myself and imagine what was going on or, well, nothing.

I'm pretty much immune to neighborhood noise by now. There are gunshots going off in the woods behind my house, my neighbor's pig squealing, dogs barking, clanking tools across the street and a welding machine in my neighbor's garage. The kid across the street who plays the trumpet and clarinet. A carpenter who works next door, hammering all day long. There's the highway a half mile down the street and another road right behind our house that's infamous for street racing/crashes. It's actually not as bad as it sounds - it's rarely all going at once. And to be honest, my family probably adds its own fair share to the cacophony, but I kind of appreciate it all. It's a really diverse neighborhood, full of interesting people that I can listen to going about their day, and I like that about it.

It usually startles me, but I am okay with it. I am a very easy person to startle and spook, lol. I also play a lot of musical instruments that I know must be audible to the neighbors, so I forgive whatever noise they send my way as long as it's at a proper hour.

My neighbours are actually pretty quiet on both sides of me. I might hear a TV from time to time, but that's nothing.

I wish Autism people could live in a soundproof building or an apartment building for Autism people.

I've always lived in apartment complexes and neighbour noise is always an issue and even at this age I still haven't found a way to deal with it. It always sets me off and makes me very angry when I hear any kind of noise whatsoever from my neighbours - up down left or right.

Stomping around above me, loud music, loud parties or TV on too loud are just a small set of examples that I've had to deal with over the past 25 years. I've always wished that I could move out of the big city and into a small town and into a house with a lot of distance between me and my neighbours and soundproof windows.

This might be an impossible task.

Generally I am not too bothered by it...I mean if you live on a bottom floor there is going to be some noise above, so whatever. But yeah what I don't like is when I hear the upstairs neighbors shouting and shrieking at each other, stomping and slamming doors, no one wants to hear that. Also while this is not the worst its at least annoying...seems like every morning before midday I hear the bathtub getting filled up there, only to be drained immediately after.

But none of those are the worst...lol have you ever had your upstairs neighbors overfill their sink so it drains down into your kitchen, uhhh I mean that is the biggest thing I don't care for the upstairs neighbors for I just picture a bunch of slobs living up there.
