Well it happened in China. The weird thing is that I'm kind of jealous of the Chinese. Their work ethic is so much better than mine. Same for athletes. Watched the Pyeongchang opening ceremony last night. Those young 20 year olds have already achieved more than I ever will. They have more dedication and self-discipline than I ever had. Yet they look so happy. I could have been in the Olympics if I wasn't fat, lazy and bad at sports lol

I just hope China keeps up on their conservation/environmental efforts as they make economic progress. From what I hear there have been lots of efforts to clean up water pollution, reduce air pollution and conserve various wild habitats...so I hope they keep that up as well.

I think they will. In the west we have one side of politics that supports environmentalism and one side of politics that obstructs environmentalism. Both sides debate for years and decades before anything gets done. If one side tried to to something, the other side will try to block it.

That doesn't happen in China because there are no two sides. It's a one party, one side system. I'm not condoning that sort of thing. I realize that a one party system has many serious disadvantages. But when it comes to getting things done, they can do it straight away rather than argue about it for years.

No. Execute them. That way we won't need prisons.

You understand that child rapists were usually once raped children? They need intensive therapy, not rejection.

And what do we do after the therapy? Let them free? Can you be sure they won't reoffend? Maybe they were telling the therapist what he wanted to hear so they could get out.

When in doubt, retain adequate restrictions. Do you really advocate throwing victims on the scrap heap because they are tainted? It was mercy that first got Aspies out of the death camps.

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.

That's all I have to say. Things are changing, but they always have. It's been the end of the world as we know it for pretty much like... forever? People are adaptable though, they'll change sooner or later.
