What's really beautiful in BC is the forests, I remember going for a hiking a while back with my relatives when I visited them one time, and it was really exciting experience. Awesome birds, trees, vegetation, wildlife etc. Just... wow.

Yeah, the natural beauty is just crazy. The lower mainland and Van. Island rarely get snow(except at elevation) and so even the lawns are green year round...unlike 99% of Canada.

Vancouver/Victoria even have palm trees...believe it or not! :D

These are all some of the reasons Why we stay. (despite our insanely expensive real estate & very low incomes.) When you're from this place, it's REALLY difficult to leave.. I know many are, but those who stay are willing to pay the price/sacrifice to be Here. I'd rather be poor here than live somewhere else.

I would love to visit Jerusalem though. I would love to see some of the places I read about in the Bible. It must be very amazing to be able to see the places where a lot of the Biblical events took place.

Right?!? I would LOVE to visit there someday and it's definitely on my bucket list.

I have something to say about the government of BC: the government is full of bast@rds (pardon my French) lol and jerks because they don't give enough money to people on disabilities. Anyone else from BC, I would gladly hear your opinion without arguing.

I used to live in Dawson Creek and Revelstoke in British Columbia and I've vacationed in Sicamous, Hope, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island.

And you're right about the government - they don't do anywhere near enough for people like us with special needs and disabilities. People think that just because they have a history of left-wing governments that the mentally handicapped will be cared for and it's just not true. In fact quite the opposite.

The ICBC scandal as well as the underfunded education system and the fact that they have had to close down many schools throughout BC is contributing to the overall corruption problem in BC. Very high taxation, the highest gas prices in Canada and very high rentals and housing too. The money is just being misallocated left right and center and people like us are getting left by the wayside so my heart goes out to you my friend, neptunekh because it is a mess in BC right now.
